For Directors Who’ve Been Around the Block

You’ve seen enrichment vendors come and go.
Here’s why this one sticks.

We know the concerns. We’ve heard them from every director we’ve worked with. Here’s how Wiggle & Groove addresses each one head-on.

📅
“The last vendor was a revolving door of different people.”
Kids at this age build trust with familiar adults. A rotating cast of instructors or worse, a no-show, disrupts your classroom routine and puts you in an awkward spot with parents at pickup.
→ Wiggle & Groove sends the same instructor, same morning, every week. If anything changes, you hear from us at least a week out. Never the morning of.
📋
“Bringing in an outside adult means more paperwork on my desk.”
Every outside instructor who walks into your building is your liability under EEC licensing. Background checks and insurance certificates shouldn’t fall on you to chase down.
→ Wiggle & Groove sends its CORI result and liability insurance certificate before the first visit. You file it once and forget it.
“I’m always trying to figure out how to cover breaks without pulling someone from a classroom.”
Staffing ratios make break coverage a daily puzzle. Every time you pull a teacher for a break, someone else is stretched. A qualified adult in the room on a predictable schedule changes that equation and makes your teachers’ day meaningfully easier.
→ While Wiggle & Groove is running, you have a credentialed adult engaged with your kids. Use that window to rotate staff breaks, handle admin or just let your teachers breathe. It happens every week, on schedule. Your team will start planning around it.
👶
“It was fun, but I wasn’t sure how to frame it for our accreditor.”
Directors at NAEYC-accredited or EEC-licensed programs need enrichment that connects to developmental outcomes, language, literacy, motor skills, SEL. “The kids loved it” is a great start. We can help you say more.
→ Every Wiggle & Groove session maps to the Massachusetts Early Learning and Development Standards. Curriculum documentation is available on request.
💬
“Parents kept asking me questions I didn’t have answers to.”
Adding a new program means fielding questions at pickup. What is it? What are they learning? Is it safe? The best vendor makes that conversation easy for you, not something you’re figuring out on the fly.
→ Wiggle & Groove provides a ready-to-send parent description for your newsletter, enrollment packet or parent app. Copy it, paste it, and you are done.
🏫
“Families touring our school ask about enrichment and we don’t have much to show.”
In Bedford, Westford and Concord, families are comparing schools side by side. A live music program isn’t a bonus anymore, it’s a deciding factor. The school that can demonstrate it during a tour wins the enrollment.
→ Schedule Wiggle & Groove on the same morning you run school tours. Let families see it in action. Your enrollment numbers will reflect it.
What Actually Happens

Live music, real instruments, dancing, bubbles and a little Spanish your teachers will pick up too.

🎸
Live guitar and vocals, every session
Kids respond to a real person making real music in front of them in a way they never respond to a recording. The energy in the room is completely different when Wiggle & Groove is there. Ask any teacher who’s watched it happen.
🫧
Every session ends with the bubble machine
It’s the Wiggle & Groove signature close and it never gets old. Kids lose it every single time, which gives them something to talk about at lunch and gives your teachers a joyful, clean transition back to routine.
🌍
Bilingual songs, English and Spanish, woven naturally
Spanish vocabulary is built into every session through music, not as a lesson, as a song. Teachers tell us they’re picking up new words right alongside the kids. That’s how well it lands.
💃
Your teachers are welcome and they usually end up joining in
Wiggle & Groove does not ask your staff to leave. If they want to dance, sing and shake a tambourine alongside the kids, they’re absolutely in. Most of them do. It’s good for the kids, good for your team and honestly, having another engaged adult in the room is always a win. 😉
☀️
Morning sessions, scheduled for a reason
Wiggle & Groove runs exclusively in the morning. Kids who move, sing and play before lunch settle better, eat better and rest more easily afterward. Your afternoons get calmer. That’s not a side effect, it’s part of how we think about timing.

The Session Arc

30 minutes. Consistent, structured and built for this age group.

Kids thrive on repetition and routine. The session arc stays consistent week to week. That means faster engagement, less transition chaos and a room that practically runs itself by week three.

Why Music. Why This Age.

The research is clear. The 0–5 window is when music works hardest.

“Music experience during early childhood promotes language and literacy skills, particularly phonological awareness, vocabulary and self-regulation useful for communication.”
Rowe, M.L. (2023), The Reading Teacher, Wiley · Peer-reviewed

Every song, rhythm and call-and-response in a Wiggle & Groove session is building something your accreditor cares about: language development, phonemic awareness, fine and gross motor skills and the social-emotional foundations kids need for kindergarten readiness. It just happens to look like dancing.

6mo
Reading improvements measurable after just 6 months of structured music instruction, behavioral and neurological. (Moreno et al., NIH)
Phonological awareness gains in children with consistent music exposure, directly predictive of early literacy. (Rowe, 2023)
0–3
Most critical developmental window. Music in infancy and toddlerhood has measurable impact on auditory processing and language attention. (Putkinen et al., Frontiers in Psychology)
SEL
Turn-taking, self-regulation and group participation built into every session, skills your teachers are already working toward all day. (Gerry, Unrau & Trainor, Developmental Science)
Good Questions

Here are some things you might want to know before you bring us in.

Wiggle & Groove sends a current Massachusetts CORI background check result and a certificate of general liability insurance before your first session, proactively, not on request. If your school needs additional documentation for your licensing file, just let us know and we’ll get it to you.
You’ll always hear from us at least a week in advance, never the morning of. Wiggle & Groove does not send substitutes. If a session can’t be rescheduled, it’s credited. Our cancellation rate to date is under 2% of scheduled visits.
Minimal. We arrive before the session, set up independently, run 30 minutes of music class and clear everything out at the end. Your teachers don’t need to prepare, supervise or clean up a thing. That said, most of them end up wanting to sing along and participate. It is great for the kids and honestly great for your team culture too.
Yes. Our sessions map to the Massachusetts Early Learning and Development Standards across five domains: language and literacy, social-emotional development, cognition, physical development and creative arts. We provide a curriculum documentation sheet on request that you can keep in your program files or reference for accreditation purposes.
Wiggle & Groove provides a ready-to-send parent description, one paragraph you can drop directly into your newsletter, enrollment packet or parent app. You don’t have to write a word. We also provide a short blurb for your website or tour materials if you want it.
All sessions are scheduled in the morning and run weekly, bi-weekly or monthly depending on what works for your program. Wiggle & Groove also handles larger special events: holiday parties, moving up ceremonies, end-of-year celebrations and school kick-off events. Get in touch to talk through your calendar.
Start with a free site visit, we come to you, see your space, meet your team and talk through what a program would look like for your school. No commitment, no cost. From there, we can schedule a trial session so your kids can weigh in too. Their reaction tends to settle the question pretty quickly.
